The Unites States Table Tennis Association (USTTA) is not sitting idly by while you are stuck at home. To the contrary, the venerable institution is working with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) to help table tennis players make the most of an unfortunate situation. Inspired by the ITTF's World Table Tennis Day, an international celebration of our favorite game which this year was observed from the safety of players' homes, the USATT put their own spin on what was rechristened "World Table Tennis At Home Day." The ITTF put out a worldwide call for home videos of players finding creative ways to play table tennis at home, then edited the submissions together to make what they facetiously dubbed "The World's Longest Table Tennis Rally." The USATT upped the ante, making a similar appeal to its members but upping the ante. The winner of the World Table Tennis At Home Day Video Contest wins not only fame and glory, but a brand new, professional grade Stag America 16 table tennis table. This is where you come in, if you somehow aren't already involved in the process as a home-bound ponger, stunt coordinator, videographer, impartial voter, highly partial voter, or any combination of the above. The winner will be determined democratically, with viewers choosing favorites from the 28 finalists. After carefully reviewing the comments section, the USATT will tabulate the results and announce the winner on April 24th. May the best video win!
